The trees

There are a number of Varieties used for Christmas trees nowadays, some more popular, all have their own characteristics.

Lodgepole Pine

One of the best non-dropping trees available, we once hung a branch above the boiler till February, it still held on to its needles. A stunning smell - of pine funnily enough. More of an open branched tree although some are trimmed these days. Often has small cones on.

Nordman Fir

The Rolls Royce of the Christmas Trees and the most popular. Known for its non-dropping qualities and stunning shape, this is how a child would draw a Christmas tree. .

Norway Spruce

The traditional Christmas tree. Sharper needles, tends to be a narrower tree, this is the type which will drop its needles but keep it cool and well-watered and they will last a surprising length of time.

Frasir Fir

Another non-dropping variety, these are usually shaped to create a narrower tree.

Stunning scent and small silvery branches.
